A čo teraz?
Nedávno som dostala zaujímavú spätnú väzbu a otázku: „Čítala som tvoj článok o bojovaní s deťmi. Hnev z našich životov vymazať nevieme (a ani by sme nemali chcieť). Poďme sa teda radšej pozrieť na to, na čo nám slúži a aké sú spôsoby, ako s ním môžeme narábať. A to aj v situáciách, kedy by sme naše deti najradšej...Ehm.
Coffee, Tea & Chat (in English) - Generation gap
Many grandparents grew up in an era of angry confrontations between the generations. As they ease into the role of family patriarchs and matriarchs, they may wonder: What happened to the generation gap? Is it gone or just on hiatus? Or it is still present but mostly underground?

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
Pride and Prejudice is an 1813 romantic novel by Jane Austen. It charts the emotional development of the protagonist Elizabeth Bennet, who learns the error of making hasty judgments and comes to appreciate the difference between the superficial and the essential. The comedy of the writing lies in the depiction of manners, education, marriage and money during the Regency era in Britain. Pride and Prejudice has long fascinated readers, consistently appearing near the top of lists of "most-loved books" among literary scholars and the general public. It has become one of the most popular novels in English literature.

CATCH-22
Often cited as one of the most significant novels of the twentieth century, the novel from American author Joseph Heller is set during World War II, from 1942 to 1944. It mainly follows the life of Captain John Yossarian, a U.S. Army Air Forces B-25 bombardier. Most of the events in the book occur while the fictional 256th Squadron is based on the island of Pianosa, in the Mediterranean Sea, west of Italy. The novel looks into the experiences of Yossarian and the other airmen in the camp, who attempt to maintain their sanity while fulfilling their service requirements so that they may return home.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS
The Lord of the Rings is an epic high fantasy novel written by English author and scholar J. R. R. Tolkien. The title of the novel refers to the story´s main antagonist, the Dark Lord Sauron, who had in an earlier age created the One Ring to rule the other Rings of Power as the ultimate weapon in his campaign to conquer and rule all of Middle-earth. From quiet beginnings in the Shire, a hobbit land not unlike the English countryside, the story ranges across Middle-earth, following the course of the War of the Ring through the eyes of its characters, not only the hobbits but also the hobbits´ chief allies and travelling companions from several species.

JANE EYRE
This book originally published as Jane Eyre: An Autobiography) is a novel by English writer Charlotte Brontë, published under the pen name "Currer Bell". The novel revolutionized prose fiction in that the focus on Jane´s moral and spiritual development is told through an intimate, first-person narrative, where actions and events are colored by a psychological intensity. The book contains elements of social criticism, with a strong sense of Christian morality at its core and is considered by many to be ahead of its time because of Jane´s individualistic character and how the novel approaches the topics of class, sexuality, religion and feminism.

1984 (ORIGINALTITLE: NINETEEN EIGHTY-FOUR)
Nineteen Eighty-Four, often published as 1984, is a dystopian novel by English writer George Orwell. In the novel, Great Britain ("Airstrip One") has become a province of a super state named Oceania. Oceania is ruled by the "Party", who employ the "Thought Police" to persecute individualism and independent thinking.[4] The Party´s leader is Big Brother, who enjoys an intense cult of personality but may not even exist. The protagonist of the novel, Winston Smith, is a rank-and-file Party member. Smith is an outwardly diligent and skillful worker, but he secretly hates the Party and dreams of rebellion against Big Brother. Smith rebels by entering a forbidden relationship with fellow employee Julia.

HARRY POTTER
It’s a series of fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The novels chronicle the lives of a young wizard, Harry Potter, and his friends, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry´s struggle against Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to become immortal, overthrow the wizard governing body known as the Ministry of Magic, and subjugate all wizards and Muggles (non-magical people).
After eight other publishers had rejected Philosopher´s Stone, Bloomsbury offered Rowling a £2,500 advance for its publication. Having sold more than 500 million copies worldwide, Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling is the best-selling book series in history. The series has been translated into 80 languages, placing Rowling among the most translated authors in history.
